Road Closure at Braehead
There will be no access to Braehead Road travelling west from January 10th 2016. This is the school’s recommended voluntary one way system and is therefore going to cause disruption to the dropping off and picking up of pupils for a period of around five weeks.
We would propose the following arrangements:
- Pupils normally dropped off on Braehead Road should now access the school from Cadzow Crescent, walking down onto School Brae. Mr Frater will be there from 8.40-9.05am every morning, and from 3.00-3.15pm every afternoon to see the children safely across the road.
- We would not advise drivers to access Braehead Road from the east as this would result in needing to turn around at the school entrance, which would be dangerous to pupils walking into the school and cause severe congestion.
- I would also like to remind you that the entrance to the school and playgroup building from School Brae is strictly for staff and service users only and should not be used to drop off pupils to school. We will need to enforce this during this period to keep our pupils safe.
- Pupils attending Breakfast Club should either access the school from Stewart Avenue via the Nursery entrance, or may consider using the Town Hall as a drop off point.
